Garage Kit Painting Commission

Disclaimer: We DO NOT accept commissions for recast garage kits, regardless of origin or quality. If you are unsure if your kit is a recast or not, please refer to this blogpost. If you are still unsure, we can check for you. Unlicensed kits are a case by case basis. Thank you for your understandingWe are taking garage kit painting commissions. This will include surface prep all the way to assembly for shipping. If you would like inquire about a slot, please read the following information and fill out the form below. Sample photos are linked at the bottom of the page.Please note the following:- We will give you an estimated quote upon seeing the kit. This can change drastically from the final price depending on several factors such as casting quality, complexity, size, etc.- Progress will be given through photos and can vary from the actual color in person. Please use these as the chance to make requests for revisions/changes. Certain changes can be difficult or impossible to make once a certain point passes.- In the event that the kit is old (usually 2-3 months out of print), there is a chance that any missing pieces will not be obtainable. If you have the kit in hand before sending to us, it is highly suggested to perform a parts check.- We intend to record progress for social media. Please specify if you would like to opt out.- We paint primarily with lacquer and enamel paints.- Fully custom bases are accepted on a case by case basis.- We prefer not to use decals unless we have to (especially for small parts like eyes).- Some assembly will be required upon recieving the finish product. The kit will be partially assembled for shipping purposes unless requested otherwise.

PRICING (USD)

Minimum price of $400. If the time exceeds 30 hours of work, it's an additional $20/hour.- Custom bases sculpting and printing will be discussed privately. Surface prep/painting will be added to the rate of the rest of the kit.- Our service is based in the USA. We are not able to send products to high risk countries. Shipping is at your expense. International shipments will require extra packaging materials with heavier boxes. We are not responsible for any customs fees.- 3D printed kits that originate from online STL services (Patreon, Gumroad, etc) can incur a 50% surcharge. This is based on factors such as the parts splitting and print quality. If you have the files, we can print it out for an extra fee.

IMPORTANT

We do not offer refunds for work that is already done.
A deposit based on the estimate price is requested upfront, along with the agreed upon sculpting/printing fee for base if applicable. The rest will be requested before shipping. You will not be sent your kit if you do not pay. If another arrangement is needed, please mention so we can try to accommodate.Payment is done through Paypal Goods & Services. We're also willing to accept Wise for international commissions, but please ask about it first.Finish time can vary, expect anywhere from 1 to 6 months for completion upon starting.
